Japan day 08/13 - Uguisudani, Taitou

Okay now for real, my rest day. Mentally it was about enough but physically not quite, legs felt kinda weird. For breakfast I still had some bread and banana left, and onigiri, and green tea! I went through all the souvenirs I bought for others and myself so far, and tried to organize them nicely in my suitcase. It was not closing, well that was gonna be a problem for later...

At this point I went through almost all clean clothes so I picked up the big laundry bag, my phone and headphones, and went to the laundromat a few meters away. The host Mizu san was kind enough to give me some washing powder. Also he noticed my Sanrio canvas bag and it made him really happy. (I will remember that)

It took about an hour and just a few euros to fully wash and dry all clothes. The laundromat felt super comfy, the whizzing and swishing from the machines, the smell of clean laundry, the warmth near the dryers. In the meantime I sat down and replied to messages I missed and watched some anime.

After bringing back the laundry I decided it was time to treat myself to some dinner because I've been too much on the move and only made time for vending machine and konbini drinks/food. There was a restaurant called Vegan Gyoza a few streets away that I had saved just in case, they served me some warm matcha latte with gyozas with several flavors, green onion, garlic, kimchi, and some more, it was so delicious and the place was cozy and warm, the staff very welcoming. I gave them my heartfelt thanks (and money of course). Would love to return here someday 🥰

Then I went on to a bath house in the neighborhood cause it's been a while since I went (don't worry, I did shower every night 😬) and it felt amazing. Of course followed by cold fruit milk to make it perfect.
Bought some of my favorite snacks so far and ate them in a park. It was very calm, aside of two ladies chattering there wasn't much going on, perfect!

Last goal was stocking up on some healthy food for breakfast and stuff at the local supermarket. The only thing I was having trouble finding was plain unflavored yogurt, kinda missed that from back home, otherwise I was happy with everything, well maybe there could be more vegetarian food!

That was it for today, still had a nice chat with Mizu san when I returned, and then went to sleep early (10 PM ish), cause tomorrow was another big day. It did me good to be more chill and mindful for a day.
