Moe Travels: Anime Pilgrimage - Call of the Night @ Saitama Oomiya & Urawa 【聖地巡礼

Tonight I took the train to Saitama Oomiya for just one reason, taking pics of locations featured in my favorite vampire anime, Call of the Night! Maybe one or two scenes were actually set during the day but I'm not a perfectionist (actually I am and it pains me immensely) but arriving here after dark was the right time. As this part of Japan was slowly turning from autumn into winter it was chilly at night sometimes but it still wasn't freezing and I was well prepared! It makes me wonder which season the show is set in but I'd guess somewhere in spring/summer, and then there was that Halloween parade in S2 so that must've been autumn already. Kou and Nazuna are always in the same fit so I guess they don't care. Anyway in my head it was gonna be a direct path from Oomiya to Urawa but that was not the case at all because many of the locations are still pretty far apart. In the end I cut some that didn't seem as interesting and far away because I was nearing in on 45K steps and it was almost 5 AM! Also had no accommodation in the area and wanting to visit Kawagoe in the morning I ended up at Kaikatsu Club (internet/manga cafe) and caught some solid hours of rest. If you ever decide to do this, beware that the registration process can take a bit long if you're a foreigner, and it will help enormously if you know some Japanese!

Map This shot I couldn't quite catch because it's an elevated platform that is only accessible to people who work for whichever company owns that area. I tried the elevators but they didn't work. The place right under it is a terrace above a mall right next to a stadium.
